Saints fail in their bid for a win against Team Rivals

Guardian General Saints with a stand of 110 between Rickford Walker (86) and Rommel Currency (50) scored 196 all out and had to settle for first innings points in their game against Team Rivals (161) at the Sion Hill Playing Field over the weekend.

Rivals welcome Triumph United to the big league.

Rivals piled on a massive total of  352 for 2 in reply to Triumph's first innings of 102. In their second innings Triumph could only muster 148 and thereby lost by an innings and 102 runs.

In response to a paltry 70 all out by The News Spartans by tea time on Saturday, Team Rivals wasted no time in overhauling this total through some exquisite batting from Hyron Shallow scoring 50 runs in quick time. He was extremely effective with the square cut and the cover drive. He was ably supported by Marvin Small.
