Barrouallie wins Community Football Competition

Barrouallie on Sunday played their way to to top prize of EC$10,000 when they defeated Layou by 2 goals to 1.
Layou scored first in the 15th minute with a goal from Shandell Samuel, but Barrouallie soon levelled the score in the 30th minute with a goal by Oalex Anderson. Two minutes later they pushed ahead when Jomo Toppin again scored for Barrouallie.
Despite a concerted effort Layou was unable to counter the defence of the Barrouallie team and the score remained at 2 -1 at the end.

Earlier in the afternoon the junior under 13 finals were also held when layou U-13 took on Central Kingstown U-13. The Layou youngsters recorded a win of 2 goals to Nil.






Barrouallie continued their winning ways when they also won the Under 17 title defeating their archrivals Layou by two goals to Nil in the second game of the evening.
