Playing Football with one leg

Dexroy Creese loves football. He plays for Lower Campden Park as a mid- field player in the South Leeward Village Football Championships. But he has one disadvantage when compared with his teammates. He is an amputee and plays with one leg.

Last Friday, June 20th I had the opportunity to see him and his team play Largo Heights at the Campden Park Playing Field. In the end Largo Heights was leading when I left but the real winner was "The Beautiful Game".

Mitres defeat Maple in the knockout finals.




Western Union Mitres are double champions by virtue of their win against Vitamalt Maple by 45-40 in the Netball knockout finals held at the Kingstown Netball Certre last Wednesday June 11th 2014.
Earlier in the season they secured the league finals title against the same team.

St.Vincent goes down to Curacao in rugby

It was a not too familiar sight to witness a rugby game in St Vinvcent. But that's what took place on Sunday at the Sion Hill Playing field. There St Vincent was defeated by Curacao 19-12.
